we decided to head up to pine with a truck full of pilots. @12:30pm the cycles were from nil to 30. brendan and i launched and were up between 8 and 10K in semi-punchy west. we headed out and brendan ran into some south and sink; had to retreat to the sandpile. my path thru @ a mile of sink got rewarded with a slow bubbler once i hit higher ground- banking over 2K to hit 10400 over caltrans. relaxed into the glide to ojai cruising at @ 25-30mph. never thought about looking for the skyline of LA before but it was visible. at @ 5K over the high school i was parked in the W and just slowly decended from comfy cool to the scorching surface . the rest of the crew headed to chief>>>>>>

Nice flying Andy, leaving with low nines and making the high school is quite a trick.
